The Dogs of War are the resident group at Nottingham Castle, UK who re-enact the life and times of the 14th and 15th centuries, through displays of combat and living history. Our encampments feature for example our armourer, dairymaid and apothecary. We are based in Nottingham but attract members from all over the country and our battlefield retinue comprises men-at-arms, peasant foot soldiers, and archers.
Our latst project is to build a fifteenth century Wars of the Roses identity as the Babington household of Chilwell, Nottingham. This gives us a strong focus on local history as well as the wider stories of the period.
