This is in response to an earlier topic I wrote about Italian coins. I decided to make my own coins. It was much cheaper. I got a blank die milled out and engraved them myself. So far, I have made about 70 coins. On one side it says in Italian "defending freedom" and the other it says "school of the sword" They are all stamped in pewter. I made a couple in silver and a couple in brass. I'm not rich enough to afford gold.

There is an SCA Laurel in New Zealand who makes coins. Master brian de Caffa. If you're after resources/ideas etc I would suggest tracking him down.

'Master Whatever' is not a name anyone not in the SCA can track down.

Thanks-
