Good day

Id like to ask what kind of physical training is good to come through to aid me develop my skill in weapon handling.

And also: I dont have an acces to someone that would give me basics of fencing. Should I ask him to show me basics of wrestling and dagger usage as well? What about other weapons could I learn for example to use axes or warhammers simulateously with fencing or just after I get some degree in it?

Hello,
don't get me wrong, but the best training for weapon handling is exactly that - handling the weapon in question.

Training a weapon or better said historical european fencing - hence I guess this is all we are talking about - contains several different issues: speed, stamina, body control, tactics, a calm mind, but yet some aggressiveness etc.
The best combination is actually to fence, all the rest like jogging, ifting wieghts or whatever, is just to train one missing aspect.

I recommend http://swordforum.com/ as a good place for information and contacts. There are other very good resources or discussion forums online, but it's a good startuing point. Maybe somebody here can point you to a group near to you, if you mention your location?

Greetings
Wolfgang

Ballroom dance will teach you fine pressure touch of your partner. A skill necessary for feeling the intent of your opponents weapon. As well as balance of the body and wind for continuous movement.
Yoga will develop overall limb strength and balance. It will teach you to concentrate on your breathing so that you do not hold your breath in tense situations. As people get older, they generally lose the skill of balance, especially with a couch potatoe lifestyle.

Firstly, I should like to say that I enjoy the manifold topics at the forum, and have observed them for some time with interest. I hope that now I can offer something worthwhile in return by this post.

So now I hope to suggest a few online articles by fellows in my association which could help answer the question at hand:

About fitness and historical fencing http://www.thearma.org/essays/fit/RennFit.htm

About training with a "pell" -- a target for practicing strikes http://www.thearma.org/essays/pells.htm

About training with proper intent http://www.thearma.org/essays/Intent.htm

About conditioning for armoured activities http://www.arma-ogden.org/content/view/23//

May those be enjoyable
