If Bob knows of some places that would be great.

I wonder if Alchem would make a prod of 300lbs?

Of course there might be some one able to make a crossbow prob of wood in the 200lbs draw maybe,

I will have a look.

I'm searching on the term: mittelalters armbrusts (Medieval Crossbows) - haven't found anything that jumps off the results page yet.

If anybody is still looking for a source of crossbows and/or various spanning devices (goats foot, cranequin, or windlass), Tod's Stuff in England will apparently make any of it for you.
The Pound Sterling makes it a pricey place to do business, but the quality of the "stuff" that I have seen from there is top notch. Others can wade in about service, etc. -- I have only seen their website, haven't bought from them (yet).

Kent, good call. Somehow I forgot about Todd's Stuff!

I love Todd's stuff and have indeed handled a few of his crossbows but they are more than I could spend in the near future. You are right though. His stuff is amazing.

@ Randall, if my information is correct, I've put the Czech word first and the English in ( ).

Czech
samostříl (arbalest, crossbow)
kuše (crossbow)
šíp do kuše (bolt)
šípy do kuše (bolts)
