The Pacific Association for Re-creating the Middle Ages is sponsoring a two day medieval swordsmanship workshop taught by Bob Charron, July 26 and 27, 2003. Mr. Charron is the translator of Fiore dei Liberi's "Fior di Battaglia", and early fifteenth century manual of combat. The Fior di Battaglia covers wrestling to combat on horseback in an organized and understandable system. This workshop will concentrate on longsword techniques. Cost is CAD125, rising to CAD150 on July 15. Attendance is limited. Classes will be at the Fernwood Community Centre, 1240 Gladstone St., Victoria B.C., Canada.
