Group Haus zum Rosgarten (House of the Rosegarden)

Founders: Martin and Ingin Jungnickel

Contact Info:
Email: mjungnickel@vfemail.net

URL: forthcoming

Founded: September 2005

Geographic Location: Ontario, Canada

HQ: Kemptville, Ontario

Primary Focus Years: 1450-1476

Details: This is the canadian outpost of 1476 Städtisches-Aufgebot. Our main focus will be on civilian display of a small town in southern Germany near the Swiss border, but being a town levy also with some military.
The "Haus zum Rosgarten" is based on the Haus zum Rosgarten in Konstanz founded in 1449 and was a guildhall for various trades. Our goal is to make public how the ordinary people during everyday life lived, and not the exceptions like battles and other spectacular events, as these where also in those days not the norm. We will be working closely together with Wolfe Argent.

For those unfamilur with 1476 Städtisches-Aufgebot hier the url: www.anno1476.de
This is the standard we are aiming for.

Hi Marie,
no actually not at all. I have been thinking of that before I left Germany. Ingin and I are very honoured to participate with Wolfe Argent, but I still wish to carry on also with the south German display too, so this is just an additional track. Also my friends from 1476 have been asking me when are you going to set something up? This project I hope to pull through with european standards, but since this hobby is here still rather new I don´t believe this project will become something big, I personally prefer a handful or two of people who are really interested in the topic and willing to spend some time and effort to create a beleaveable picture.
Secondly having something local is also very tempting! I don´t mind an eight hour drive but that is not something you do dozens of times a year. Well will have to see how things develop!

Martin
