The Enterprise of the Red Shield has been steadily working together to develop our skills at horsemanship, accuracy in our impressions and to provide an opportunity for people interested from our area of the US to participate. We have updated our website gallery with photos from our March'05 encampment. Please visit www.redshield-1391.org Feel free to give us feedback!! Henri

Hello Henri, Great looking website, well thought out.Just a suggestion, the men in your group may want to consider wearing some sort of hat while milling about in public. The men of higher status would wear a fancy hat to show off, while the common rank and file would make do with a simple cap. -------------------- Ron Moen

Appreciate the feedback Ron....Thanks :-)
Yeah, we've gone round and round over the headcovering thing. But it was actually Gwen that made the difference in our thinking. Until she enlightened us we all routinely wore the linen coif. I won't quote her entire statement here, but let it suffice to say that we trust her research and conclusion that men (during our target period of 1391) did NOT in fact wear those caps. However, I agree with (what I think may be) your contention that those gentlemen *not* in armor, should be under some sort of head cover. Again, thanks for the feedback and advice, we're still quite new and have a loooong way to go :-) Regards, -------------------- Michael Carroll www.redshield-1391.org mcarroll@monroecc.edu
