Author Topic: My New Destrier!!! lionsquire Member Member # 629 posted 09-19-2005 04:09 PM                Hi Everybody! Here's my new mount! He's a Spotted Draft (Paint and Belgian most likely), just under 16hh, and five years old. He is already well broke to ride (he is heavy on the bit though, have to work on that), but he is totally bomb-proof. Really, it's amazing. He was used as a mounted patrol horse at a local fairground, so he has been around rock concerts, fireworks, even tigers. I introduced him to armour by banging my leg harness together right under his nose and all he did was try to lick them. He's a great boy and I couldn't be happier. I would agree with the Belgian possibility, the head shape and eye placement is very close to a Belgian's.
