quote: I'm sure we can come up with a label. Many people have said that our official logo/badge looks like a beer label. I say to them.
I moved this from the Food and Drink area 'cause it's not really recipes. I think the Wolf Argent badge would make a great logo. I would suggest coming up with a separate name for the beer so that we can have more than one kind of Wolf Argent beer. How 'bout calling the Flemish sour ale "Coustillier" ? Then we could call our kick-a** triple "Gens d'Armes" Best Regards, Paul

That sound very cool! How's about trying some spiced? I know, no recipes, but we could give a guess as to some combination, perhaps looking as to the sorts of spice combinations they used in Claret or Hypocras? We could call a spiced ale a serpentine, or a bombard, or the like... -------------------- Bob R.

Or, "Pikeman's Draught"? have varieties of ales named after the Ordonnances, ie "Abbeville" -------------------- Andy V. Bob, I love spiced beers myself, and they are VERY medieval. I've got a special fondness for orange, cloves, coriander and/or cinnamon. Dan has a nice recipe he calls: Belgium Wit - A traditional Belgian coriander and orange peel spiced wheat beer. $160 When we say we don't have recipes for medieval beer, what we mean is we don't have things that say, "Use this much of this ingredient relative to this much of that ingredient." Or, "Boil this for this long before adding that." But we do have lists of ingredients. So we can pick spices that we know they put in their beer. We just don't know how strong they would have liked a certain taste. Best Regards, Paul
