Hi All,

We just received some new goods from Robin Wood in the UK. A couple of dopplekopfs and a costrel.

Also pictured though we have had the Star Bowls and the mazers for a while, we just never posted a picture of them before. They are really nice.

Left to right: Dopplekopf (double cup), Star bowl, mazer, and two costrels; one from the front the second from the side.

*Note: German Star Bowl (mid 15th c.) from excavations in Braunschweig, Germany finds.

The mazer is from the excavations at Freiburg, Germany.

The dopplekopfs are Based on an archaeological drawing from Germany dated to the 15th Century. I think these are SO cool.

The costrels are based on an archaeological drawing from Strasbourg dated to the first quarter of the 14th century. The one he has based his on is French. On Robin's site he has a image that shows one being turned as late as 1568.

Enjoy!

Are there any other sources of wood bowls (with a website) in the US?
I have found a few mentioned at Renn. Faires, but have found nothing more.

THanks,

I am sure there are, I haven't looked yet. If we come across any, we will let you know.
