We're working on putting the Dark Ages range up today.

Dark Ages at Historic Enterprises

I know the focus of this forum isn't Dark Ages but thought I'd mention it in case we have any cross dressers on board. I'll be sending out a newsletter about it an making a big post on the AA on Monday.

Aww, only Viking stuff?

Having source for Dark Ages Irish, Pict, Welsh, Cornish, etc garb would be FANTASTIC!

What are the chances you'll do Celtic "Dark Ages" clothing?

Or do we get left out of the "Dark Ages" again <sniff, sniff>

Considering how few people know what the stuff is supposed to look like, probably slim to not at all. There are not enough who know historical is not kilts and leines to make this period viable from a business perspective, at least for me Sorry.

What were the sources for the Viking clothes? Were there any extant pieces or is it all contemporary illustrations, and commentary, etc?

You ought to change the name of the area though. If it's really just going to stay Viking stuff it's misleading to call it "Dark Ages" since it's not inclusive.

Have you even looked at the garments at all? I think not as if you had you would see it's more than just Viking. There is full documentation for the cut, fabrics, colours, etc.

It is completely impossible for me to make everyone happy, or to provide clothing for every period of reenactment. I do what I can do WELL, and stop there. I cannot be all things to all people, and I don't pretend I can.

I'm sorry that I won't be able to help you but with all due respect, why on earth are you badgering me about this?
