Historic Enterprises' new offerings for February were uploaded last night. New items include:

  • 4 new styles of bronze buckles
  • 2 bronze belt mounts, including a 14th C. plaque belt mount
  • 5 new pewter badges
  • 2 new sizes of turnshoes and new inventory in all sizes

I'm currently working on women's stockings and 15th C. purse, and Black Swan Designs should have complete 14th and 15th C. woman's outfit packages available March 1.

Jeff has 5 new buckles and 2 belt mounts going off to the caster tomorrow, and we anticipate that they will also be available March 1 from the Swan & Lion Sutlery.

The utility kits are coming along nicely. I'm having a lovely wooden coffer made to house the kits, so it will probably take until April or May before those are available. The coffer will also be available separately and is the perfect size to hold sewing, embroidery or other small handwork, calligraphy, spices, toiletries, herbal/barber supplies, cordwaining, games, etc.

Sign up for the Historic Enterprises Mailing List and notices like this will be delivered directly to your email as new items are added!

Happy shopping, and thanks for your support!

Interesting. Some of the buckles look like white bronze. Are they, or is it just the photo? Does Jeff cast those, and if so, what temperature is the flow point? Does he use a torch or kiln?
I've had trouble with white bronze with it solidifying before it fills the mold.
