Hi guys,
does anyone know if there is a listing of the members of the Knights of Rhodes during the 15th Century?

I have found various websites, but maybe I missed one that actually contains this data.

Thanks,

Jenn

Thanks Bob H. I will check it out.

Brent, you would be correct. I have found a single mention of him in Olivier de la Marche's chronicles, but it never addresses him by name, only title.

The search continues...I was just hoping that someone had a lead that I hadn't tapped yet.

I did a search on sgr. de Chanteraine. The search engine returned the following name as part of a pedigree on a Belgium website. I am wondering if this might be our man. There is no specific date next to his name, but seems to follow, if I read the information correctly, his name would fall into the 15th C. I just don't know when. There is also the slight spelling difference, the lack of the 'e' after the 't', though this may be nothing more than a typo. I will have to consult "de la Marche" to see how he spells it.

Henri COLLO de BERTRÉE,sgr à Chantraine,Verlée

Website: http://users.pandora.be/jose.verheecke1/vorstenhuis/mathilde/m1172.htm

This pedigree is for Mathilde d'Udekem d'Acoz the woman who became the wife of crown-prince Philippe, duke of Brabant.

Other than this brief mention, I've not found anything.

They have contact information, I wonder if they can help at least narrow the playing field.

I checked out some links off of the site that Bob H. listed. Unfortunately it didn't yield any lists. Hmmphf!

At least the Order of the Golden Fleece listed it's members. (I know...the membership was a lot more exclusive thus easier to track, though there was either no new knights made or the pages from the history of the Order are missing from 1473-1478 when the Hapsburg's picked it up.)

Well Henri Collo isn't the guy. I contacted the folks who put together they geneology for the Princess Mathilde and they said "No". José Verheecke, one of the two authors of the geneology, did suggest that I contact the Office généalogique et héraldique de Belgique. I visited this morning, but have some translating to do on their website.

The hunt continues...
